As you can see, I just launched my brand new side project. On the 9th of March I will be running up a skyscraper in the city of London in a fundraising event called Vertical Rush. In fact, this is just a healthy excuse to raise money for Shelter, a charity that supports people at risk of homelessness to make sure there’s a home for everyone in the UK.
Let’s be honest, 2016 may not have been the best of the years, but I am an optimist. I’m sure we all can make this world a better place. It’s important to share our commitment, though: Wherever you are, stand for those who need you. Make them visible.
In my job I fight everyday to tackle homelessness in the South West of England and right now I want to take it a step further. Actually, 932 steps!
Ok, but it’s not only about scaling a skyscraper. It’s not only about reaching the summit after 42 floors. This is also about you and me, fighting together. Pure empowerment. We care about others. We are not anonymous. We see the injustice, we #faceit.
